Friday, After the Board Meeting

The hardest meeting of the week is over. The first thing she does as she walks out of the conference room is not answer messages. She sends the concierge one line: the usual time — tonight.

Friday, After the Board Meeting

After high pressure, the body reacts before the feelings do

Five straight days of intensity leave marks on the body: a jaw clenched sore, shoulders that stay raised all night, waking at 3 a.m. and thinking about work before she's even fully awake. It isn't drama; it is a nervous system still stuck on a war footing, unable to switch itself back.

Friday night's session uses the most 'closing' combination there is: first a deep-pressure full-body session to unload the tension banked over the week, then a quiet stretch of sensory massage to bring the tempo down. The order cannot be reversed — unload first, soothe second.

Give the weekend back to the weekend

Many executive members fix this session on Fridays for a practical reason: skip it, and Saturday morning is still spent coming back to herself, Sunday afternoon is already anxious about Monday — and the whole weekend shrinks to half a day.

Two hours, traded for two full days. They do that math better than anyone. Which is why this session is never booked on the spur of the moment; it is written into the schedule like another board meeting — except this one has a single item on the agenda: her.
